Jim, The county forked out $200M and the state $300M to get them to come. These things are not easy to judge, since, especially in the US, these involve some kind of local tax forgivness, not money handed over to the company. I think the primary thing AMD is looking for is loan guarantees. With loan guarantees, and current low rates, AMD can obtain money almost free (interest being price of money). There may be other tangibles / or intangibles such as free land, host state or country paying for some of the infrastructure, transportation educational costs, plus tax breaks. Joe
