Clark is currently tied with dean for the national lead. Dont discount him. If dean and Kerry stumble, Clark has his shot. But if he stumbles and Gephardt doesn't advance, then hello Al Gore. Anyone but Dean. You may hate to hear that but little Mr. Dean is almost a guaranteed loser versus Bush, nomatter how badly Bush screws up.

The left-wing and unions simply cannot beat the right now. It takes a moderate with liberal backing, and preferably someone with major military credentials. If dean speaks out against the war nationally he will have only tepid credibility. After all, who is he to talk? He has no experience and only gets his foreign policy views from advisors. Kerry and Clark speak with authority. And so does Gore. dean has never taken on terrorism or enemies. Kerry, clark and Gore have. Kerry has killed enemies. Clark may have too.
