Excellent post!

I'm not buying any gold stocks, but you raise many points worth thinking about.

So often, we investors get lulled into thinking that as long as Americans are buying PCs, everything is dandy.

The UPS strike has me thinking a lot lately about the realtionship of Labor and Shareholders. Typically one prospers at the expense of the other. Management must maintain a balance, but for obvious reasons, put most of their efforts into "shareholder value".
