Actually, I think I am dead on right. Your bias has become much more pronounced the past few weeks.

I am as certain as anyone can be about such things that my feelings on this issue have nothing to do with partisanship. My opinion would be the same if a Democrat was president. At least at the beginning having the money sent as grants is not a bad thing.

"But I wouldn't be opposed to the next round of aid being partially or even largely loans with generous terms."

What was wrong with doing it this round?

I'm not sure I would say its wrong. I just don't think doing it as grants is wrong either.

To the extent it is wrong (as a policy not morally) it would be because some of the money will go to pay back damage we caused, and because Iraq is already heavily burdened by debt. If the loans where structured to have such generous terms as to not be difficult for Iraq to pay back they would almost be a grant.

Why should I waste my time pointing out something when it gets denied one way or another.

Since the facts are not behind you on this one, you just say that demonstrating the facts is useless...
