Doing this, would be consistent with the doctrine of Preventive War, and consistent with the past actions of Sharon and Bush. I hope they are sane enough not to do it.

The problem here, is that Iran's nuclear facilities are hidden and probably redundant. Even the use of multiple nukes does not guarantee success. When Israel took out Iraq's nuclear reactor, it was one facility, above-ground. Our opponents won't make the mistake of presenting such an easy target, ever again.

Once we use nukes against a Muslim nation, we'll have a tiger by the tail. We will be permanently committed to never allowing Them, any of Them, to acquire an Equalizer. Since this will be impossible in the long term, we will be on an irreversible path that ends with nukes being used on the U.S. homeland.
