Mr. Al-Hijazi sounds like a perfect foil to rouse Americans to rightous wrath to smite .... somebody.
Maybe Bush & Co. will have another country on the list to smite, with equal results as the last two.
OTOH, perhaps we'll have a 'dirty bomb' attack, as predicted by Ashcroft July 10th, 2002 from Moscow, and hinted again this week. That's about the only event that fits the profile of this prediction, an aborted attack that creates mass hysteria with minimum deaths.
If it follows the 9/11 and Anthrax profile, it'll be a great opportunity to push through Patriot Act II legislation, void any remnants of 9/11 investigation, get judicial nominees approved, and finally get these electronic voting machines installed. |
