I agree with you that the GOP grandstanding in the Senate is being used as a means of controlling the media agenda. The good news is that the effort appears to be backfiring on the Republicans.

168 to 4 -- 98% of Bush's appointments to the bench have sailed through the process. What are the snivelling hypocrites like Hatch whining about?

The main buzz on C-SPAN 1's Washington Journal today was the fact that 168 judges have gotten through the confirmation process during the Bush term. The Republicans have been assiduous in trying to hide this fact. The rejection rate for judges during the Clinton term was 20%. It is now 2% and the Republicans are acting like prissy spoiled brats who can't have it all.

The Republican Party has no credibility any more. None.
