Kerry's image problem, I think, is twofold: 1) He doesn't connect well with the little guy. This doesn't bode well for labor connections. And I think he trumped up his anti-Vietnam war postion to a point where they overshadowed his civil rights positions and thus he doesn't have broadbased appeal among minorities. 2) Kerry was a fool for thinking he'd be a better Democratic nominee by supporting Bush's war. He boxed himself in good on that one. More likely than not, depending on the demographic need, he'll be a frontrunner for the VP nominee. I don't think he's gonna win this one.
