It all depends Chinu.. Because some forms of Islam are more compatible with democracy than others. In fact, being a heavily decentralized religion, with a personal responsibility for the believer to commune with God (similar to christianity), it is inherently democratic and not authoritarian. But certainly, muslims can fall susceptible to various extremist prayer leaders and scholars.

But there are many muslim scholars who are very moderate and peace-loving as well..

But the bottom line is that the headline to that article could very well have applied to Christian Europe a mere 400-500 years ago..
