This weekend is a big game for the Eagles IMO JB. If they put a W in the column I'll be a bigger believer. Here is some good news for the defense though:
Thursday Update: Dawkins Ready

November 13, 2003
By DAVE SPADARO

For a second straight day, free safety Brian Dawkins particpated in practice, flew around the indoor facility at the NovaCare Complex and proclaimed himself ready for action Sunday against the Giants.
"I feel good, really good," he said on Thursday afternoon. "I'm very optimistic about getting back on the field on Sunday."

If you are attending Sunday's 1 p.m. game at Lincoln Financial Field, be prepared to hear Dawkins announced as a starter with the Eagles defense.

His emotions will be hard to keep in check.

"I'll be fired up, but I know how to control it," he said. "It's been a lot of hard work and time and it's excting to get back out there and be with the fellas. I'm done watching the games on TV."

That is comforting news for Eagles fans, indeed. Barring any setbacks then, Dawkins will start on defense. How much he plays is still not known. Defensive coordinator Jim Johnson said on Thursday that he will see how things play out on Sunday before making that decision
