The Internet was acting up, and I wanted to be able to correct my post.

I finally got some sleep which was necessary.
I will listen more to Adult Contemporary, CHR, Contemporary Christian and Rock n' Roll, but overall ecclectic.
Some of this will not be English to you, unless you are listening to current songs. Matchbox 20 is one of my favorite bands.
So, there are 5 Artists being launched and I am dealing with a great deal of the promotion. None of the artists are Country. Although there will be a Nashville office, there are Silicon Valley and LA offices.
I've been on business trips to Nashville, but it is small, and closed. They (the industry people there) were not open to Shania Twain, and Mutt Lange. He is married to her and has produced big hits in Rock n' Roll. They live in Switzerland now. What a funny industry.
This is only one part of this venture, because there is also still a medical program. I am sure there will be delays along the way, but overall, it is on track!
One big issue is to deal with music piracy. The industry is not there. Recently, they pulled Beyonce and 50 Cent records off the shelves and placed Rod Stewart's classic record in the front of the store. Why? Because the over customer is not downloading the songs, and the under 40 group is really causing a problem for the Industry, because of piracy. |
