If Iraq is the first step, then it had better be the last step.

I disagree, the rationale for attacking Iraq had nothing to do with terrorism. 9-11 was just used as an excuse. No one but the White House planners understands what the real motive was. Maybe a mixture of oil, grabbing the mid-term elections and just plain old bullying. Despite all the boogey man talk about Saddam, Iraq was really nothing but a oil-rich third world country. The only terrorists there were old retired ones or some seeking to attack Israel. Of course now it's amagnet for ever terrorist wannabe on the planet who hates America. Trouble is, we can't tell them from the innocent civlian whose heart and mind we're supposed to be winning. So who do we shoot? Vietnam all over again. Terrorists dont wear uniforms and show themselves, but our troops do. So it's an unfair fight, unfair against us.
