For the USA and it's present technology, I don't believe going to war such as we did in Iraq is necessary today. It is a proven fact that dictators and terrorist love to be in positions of power and control and only understand force not ideology. They are cowards and will do anything to keep from losing it.

And based on the above principle,as my hero Teddy Roosevelt said, "speak softly and carry a big stick". If terrorist are being supported by that country you warn them once that they will be taken out. After that you send a Tomahawk missile at their next government meeting or press conference.

When the next regime, whoever they are, comes to power you warn them. They will get and fully understand the message just as Libya did.
