I agree. Bush lite is a big, big mistake -- especially early on. Candidates are supposed to start off on their left or right and then gradually move to the middle as the general election nears. Leiberman & Gephardt are toast.

Kerry needs to kick his liberal ass in gear -- although Dean will begin to to move to the middle as soon as Kerry starts recognizing the need to attract the DEM base.

Kerry needs to talk about:

Environment
Education
Equity

...to his own credit he need not defend his military piece. That is a win-win for John if he should face Texas-stateside in the general election.

Gore may still show up and piece it all together for the party if no clear candidate advances strongly.
