Don't give it up, FL. LB's thread and yours are still the two places where there can be a "mostly" salon....a meeting of ideas. Yours was so good, but really the lefty's have taken the wagon for a bit, just as they did with the GWB thread. The GWB board long ago was a great place for exchanges of ideas, but gradually, what you see today happened.

My own observation is that there are wayyyyyy to many of the GreenLeft/GreenRight (who IMO are the same) who take over everything, or try to...NION, ANSWER, Rukkus type folks who can only use trash mouth, and battering rams--almost as if they are rude children who weren't taught any manners, and continued along that path as adults.

LB was right to get after me, as this thread is important to all of us. Of course I was saddened to see that he took my comments as personal ones, specifically pointed AT someone, rather than in general as in "if the shoe fits"...

Unfortunately, Foreign Affairs in so many ways has political beginnings and implications, and that has come to the fore certainly more so in the last decade. The media has continued that, and now imposed that thought process on the entire foreign affairs discussion, IMO.
