Ken, you've done yeoman's work keeping us in line. The problem is that a lot of posters, including yours truly, but only on limited occasions, vbg, forget that opinions should be based on some modicum of study. We unfortunately see a lot of opinions that are simply statements without any basis in fact, unsupported by anything except the poster's need to be heard.

I tried to get a bit of a discussion going there recently by mentioning the recent article in Foreign Affairs about Hizbollah and the archived statement by Allen Foster Dulles concerning German reconstruction. No one bit. Hey, I tried.

Perhaps the solution is to make the right to post subject to a bit more intellectual rigor by requiring supporting documentation for an opinion or at least discussion of pertinent articles, essays, etc., instead of the prevalent finger painting in a sandbox.
