Do you honestly think things are going well in Iraq?

I think that given what all had to be done things are going unbelievably well. Before the war liberals were talking about casualties potentially numbering in the thousands and YEARS of occupation; to date, we've suffered 300+, having totally done away with the Saddam regime and well on the way to having installed a democracy. It seems clear the occupation will, as I indicated before the war began, be short and sweet.

Do you believe that the strength of the insurgents is weakening?

No, but I don't think the strength is substantial. It is the tactics that cause the problem.

Do you think we have enough troops on the ground?

I think if Donald Rumsfeld says we do, then we do.

Do you still believe Bush knows what he is doing?

Absolutely. I believe Bush will be remembered in history as one of the most courageous and most important presidents of our time.
