About 3 years ago I posted regularly pointing out that if you thought gold was going anywhere, the place to be was CEF, Central Fund of Canada, where pure bulllion was selling at a discount.

I made money on this fund, but never imagined it would go to a very high premium over NAV and could have made a lot more. Also, I had a lot of trouble convincing anyone else that it was a good idea and when that happens you start to think maybe there is something wrong with your thinking.

I now announce that it seems equally clear to me that COS.UN (as listed on the Toronto) is the place to make a great deal of money in energy. The dividend alone is very good and is a fraction of the actual income, which is supposed to be paid out. The syncrude operation has reserves that are unlimited for maybe 50 years and economies of sceale are regularly realized, and very high quality oil is being produced within all enviromental requirements.

I am a small investor and am not posting this in any hopes of drawing anyone into a small time operation, thereby moving the price up.

From every angle I have studied it, the Canadian Oil Sands Royalty trust looks like a hell of a good investment, especially for small investors needing generous tax-advantaged income.
