Damien, yes I agree with both of your points. And I predict the amount of Cobol code in service will decline by 50% between now and 2000. Much of the actual y2k spending is hardware and/or software upgrades just using y2k as an excuse to get budget approval. None of that money will flow to the y2k companies except maybe for some prelim studies amied at justifying the budget.

The reason that the client companies are not debunking y2k is that it is such a good excuse to get more budget money.
