"America, under Bush, is a danger to the world," he said. Then he smiled: "And I'm willing to put my money where my mouth is."

If a man is worth $7B and commits $15M (0.2%) of his net worth, I'm not sure I'd call that "putting his money where his mouth is".

I typically take a much larger percentage of my net worth to the casino for a weekend gambling trip. Still not much, but geez, 15M is totally immaterial to the guy.

I think he is just one more big-mouthed liberal, cut from the same cloth as Barbra.

It is also interesting he apparently was willing to spend $5B to "promote" democracy in the Soviet Bloc, but apparently doesn't think we should promote democracy in Iraq. I don't know much about the man, but I'd be willing to bet his $5 Billion was motivated by something other than his philanthropic desires.
