JUST WHO ARE THESE PEOPLE?

In the past two days, I have heard U.S. military spokespeople describe them. They are just as clueless as those in the administration in Washington, D.C. One officer puts their numbers at 500; another at 5,000. The CIA, in a leaked supposed secret report marks the number at 50,000 and growing daily.
Just who these people are is just as uncertain as their numbers. Again, using military spokespeople, they are, Saddam loyalists, foreign Arab fighters, Iraqi nationalists, and Al-Qaida. Each spokesperson contradicts the others, sometimes within 15 minutes. One general stated that they are former Saddam Hussein military officers, yet, in the next breath, he says Saddam has nothing to do with the insurgency because he was too stupid. Another general states that Saddam is behind everything because the attacks against American soldiers are so well-organized. You figure it out...."
