First off (since I've been on vacation), welcome dougjn and Mark. It is always enjoyable to have new opinions and ideas on this thread. I enjoyed catching-up on the recent conversations.

Quickly, BB (Bob Brinker) may seem boring and elementary if you catch him the first time. He cannot let out all of his strategies the first ten minutes of every Saturday show. No one would listen thereafter. However, I guarantee that when the market seems perilous and is teetering, he can confirm that the right thing to do is get fully invested. I try to sell on my own feelings however, because BB hasn't given me any sell advice on the general market (at least for as long as I've listened to him since 1986). I look to market sentiment to sell and am currently 50% cash and will raise more if the market goes up from here. BB's advice is a disciplined type that is not knee-jerk at all. I use him as an indicator and for confidence at market bottoms. He is not perfect and has made a few bad calls (flame me if you dare), but is (as I've said before) 95% correct - which is more than any analyst I know can boast. I find him very valuable but, as Alan states, I believe that at some point, the gift horse buying opportunity might jump off the cliff.

Good to be back!
