Thanks For Your Input Here Jeffry.

Yes, the " pandering " to the rural areas of America WRT gun control is an issue that needs clarity.Having lived in both rural and city geographies,I can understand the problem though.

Carrying an oozy or semi-auto in a city should be suspect,at the very least.Carrying an oozy or semi-auto to a shooting range or in the backwoods in rural areas could look quite normal.

That's why I like the idea of the states themselves deciding how this is addressed. They have a micro management advantage that the Feds just don't have, and the counties and cities themselves should have leverage here.

On his ability to hold the state's electoral support, I humbly submit to your insight regarding Vermont.

( What state are you in ?)

The death penalty should be for killing police officers or terrorists who cause mass destruction, and maybe for serial and repeat offenders who are beyond reform. The controversial part of the death penalty emerges when innocent people are convicted of crimes they didn’t commit.,etc.etc..

Tell us more about the judge appointees.

But now here we are in 2003 and :

So I think he was both right and wrong on the issue.

Right in that he understood that Methadone could end up just being a replacement and become easily available as an alternative, wrong in that he could/should have had more compassion for those who truly wanted to get off the heroin path to hell.

The verdict is in the eye of the beholder I guess.
