With regard to LOGC trying to avoid supplier disruption the argument
is extremely plausable. This company completely missed the upturn in
SRAM prices 2 years ago because they couldn't get wafers. With a spate
of new products coming it is only sensible not to risk shortages. If
you look at the inventory numbers 9 mil. of the 13 mil. is raw
materials or work in process. The DSP business itself is fairly
inventory intensive and Bill Volz has actually done a good job of
keeping this company out of serious trouble. With new products now
coming on stream they appear to be out of the woods. You also might
be interested to know that LOGC was mentioned on First Call today.
Phil Erlanger (Edison Research)issued an alert for a short squeeze
in this stock. I guess the guy or guys who are short 668,371 shares
have a little problem on their hands given the average daily trading
volume!
