Jay, Thanks for the heads up on China Investing.

I took my first gander at China in 1997 investing in a closed end mutual fund out of Hong Kong and sold it for a loss in 98 after the bottom dropped out of the Asian Tigers. I am presently looking for appropriate vehicles but want to wait until it's clear whether there is another SARS outbreak and until China is on sale again. I like to buy stocks on the cheap. I have considered PTR but am already over invested in oil and NG. I will consider it again as a means to regionally diversify my holdings when appropriate. I found a listing of the HSCEI constituents and would appreciate if you could tell us which of them are available in ADR's and which you especially like. This will save me some effort if you would.

hsi.com.hk

I am also looking at your list on:

achamchen.com

and would appreciate which are available as ADR's. Please excuse my laziness.

On another note, there is a plan to change the tax status of covered calls, to make it harder for tax payers to take losses on covered calls. This won't affect you Jay, but us Amercans will be negatively impacted if it goes through. I too use covered calls as a way to increase my income.

Gotta take my son shopping. See you later.
