I don't think a small rise in interest rates would be the end of it all. It will be spun and sold as a positive and life will go on. Last time the housing bubble kept growing in the face of massive interest rate increases.

That is why I think gradual increases (gently applying of brake) is what they will attempt, but never alone of course, but with foreign concert. Inflation to my mind is inevitable. Inevitable because the brakes will have to be applied.
