The census bureau would not agree with you, and they use bigger numbers than you do. They don't use personal "informal polls" either. The facts are clear. Southern and California metros are the least segregated in the country. And three of the four California metros that are least segregated voted for George W. Bush in 2000 (Orange County, San Diego, and San Bernadino/Riverside). Why aren't Democratic dominated west coast metros like Oakland, San Francisco or Seattle at least as desegregated as Orange County or San Diego?
