Look, this complete turnaround in Bush scheming is only due to one thing. Karl Rove knows that Bush is going to lose the election. So, they are cynically doing everything they can to turn tail and abandon Iraq to chaos, as long as they can convince you by November, 2004 that Bush isn't the worst President ever. Other voters have higher standards than you, so they won't be quite as gullible about sucking up every lie the President tells you as gospel truth.
