I do my business at Merrill Lynch but live in Canada now... I can buy Canadian denominated stocks or bonds [have a lot of couple year out govies] even though my account is in the states. They also can open a Canadian denominated acount I think. I would just as soon have my IRA up here in a local house, but I'm not sure about how that works.. still working on it. DAK
