Well... He has to hike just 25 bp to hike more than market anticipates. Market is pricing in 1 full point hike by SEPT of 2004. That gonna happen? Then it prices in another 1/2 point from Sept to Dec! That gonna happen? 1.5 points in hikes by Dec of next year when the FED still has bias set to "fears of unwanted decrease in inflation" Don't think hiking 1/4 MORE than the market expects is even remotely possible. M
