LOL on that Jason comment!!!
Well on that note, below are the contest results for Moday's calls.
I had 4 entrants. 2 @ 67, and 1 @ 70, but the winner is a very lucky guesser who uses hardly any TA, much less has any in his repetoire! You guessed it ... I won with a guess of 68 3/8!
AOL closed @ 68 down almost $2 trading between 67 and 71 1/4. Even with the "good news" and the market finishing higher, the bears won out. I will leave it up to others to explain better than I-- but what does it say when the hype over ficticious earnings is at a max, you get constant upgrades and (for some unknown, unprovoked reason) reiterated buys, the market returns with a vegence after being down around 60 to close up 30, and this "Miss Priss" stock finishes down $2, $5 off its post-earnings high, $7+ off an interday high the day prior to earnings???? I would love some discussion on this one from both sides.
Anyone game for Tuesday???
Me ... the consumate guesser ... I see AOL chugging directly to the market tomorrow. A modest increase (1/2 pt) (Dow 20pt) held until 11:00am, with a splash of indecision before lunch, and a "my broker's at lunch and I can't reach him" downturn beginning at 12:00 continuing throughout the day and night. Dow down 120, AOL down to 65 3/8 (touching below 64 for the briefest of instants). (Hey its just for the fun of it here ... you must know that I know how wild my guesses are ... must show my frustrations with this stock huh?) |
