REEEAAALLLY my last post..

Lets get one thing straight, because you are either purposefully obfuscating(lying) or are misinformed. Probably both.

Generic drug=FDA approved equivalent drug to the brand name drug that is produced and approved by the FDA. Those drugs that have generic equivalents sell for about the same price as generic or have very little sales. End of story.

Generic drugs are NOT ripoffs of intellectual property from some 3rd world country. They are NOT the solution to the "prescription drug problem" that you apparently do not understand.

Ever tried to by a Canon camera in China? Costs about 3 times what it costs here. Sony TV? Costs 3 times the Shinco brand.

Know what? Those tricky little bastards stole all the technology out of the Sony box and put it in theirs. Too damn bad for Sony. Free trade sucks.

Same thing happens with drugs. Chinese companies are ripping off Epogen(an Amgen patented drug). So what.

The pharma business you don't like makes money by innovation. The same way as the tech biz. The difference is the need and opportunity for innovation in pharma is bigger than tech. It consumes tech, not the other way around.

You can live your life just fine with 12 year old medications. Ask your doctor!
