Re: the risk of fluctuating fuel prices.

Considering the absolutely precarious knife's edge we are on with gas supplies vis a vis demand in the North American market, I'd say this roller coaster is only going to get more wild in the future.

Proposed LNG terminals aren't going to make up for the coming shortfall in natural gas production in the current North American gathering regions.

The solution would be to start immediately to extend the North American pipeline network to Canada's MacKenzie River region with the intention to add this abundant gas as the pipeline continues through Alaska to Prudhoe Bay where 12 TCF are shut in. Why this isn't a national priority is beyond my comprehension. What is being touted as an "Energy Bill" in Congress today is actually nothing more than a gigantic tax giveaway to the dinosaur industries. There's absolutely nothing of significance that is forward looking in this sad example of what happens when industry owns the government and the public is shut out of the decision making process. It should be considered a national scandal. Except that the public is so harassed with simply making a living and paying their debts that they can't comprehend how they are about to be BOHICAed. That being "bend over, cause here it comes again"....
