i found this in some morning notes from Smith Barney, regarding Verizon (for informational purposes only. draw your own conclusions): *Further mgmt comments: 1) announced plans to offer VOIP for mass market consumers during 2Q/04, and for SME/high-end consumers during 4Q/04, and 2) VZ selected vendors for FTTP with better pricing than anticipated. VZ expects wireline '04 capex to be roughly flat, incl. the investment in FTTP.
