Yeah and they all inherited it from George Washington. Bush Sr.'s whole term was one big Reagan-debt ridden recession. Right-wing memories are very selective, I know. CLinton's 7 years of boom economy was the best ever. Name a president who has a better record. The recession during GW's term started in March 2001 and yes dot-bombs were way overvalued, but the market started tanking only as it looked more likely Bush wuold win, not to mention the devastating Bushie phony energy crisis.
