McGrory loves Bush and hates Kerry, yes. He's a known right-wing attacker at The Globe and they let him remain probably to fend off criticism that they are a "liberal newspaper. The editor specifically told me McGrory's columns are just opinion and not the Globe's opinion at all. If McGrory also attacked dean perhaps he'd have a little credibility but he's doing more of the RNC's dirty work here, going after the war hero candidate whom they fear the most.

There is no inevitability at all in terms of dean getting anywhere near the nomination. That's just dean supporters spinning hard. Of course he is a strong contender, but until he beats the field, beats the consensus non-dean candidate, then gets 50.1% of the delegates he hasn't won a thing. Dean is currently tied with Clark with 16% of the national vote. Undecided is way ahead and the moderate voters who swing elections are not likely to back Dean. Furthermore, Lieberman and Edwards are not likely to make it far and their supporters will back anyone but Dean.
