High Grade Copper Property Discovered in Argentina
Vancouver, British Columbia -- Mansfield Minerals Inc. (TSX – MDR)
Mansfield Minerals Inc. (the “Company”) has been granted title to the Loj Loj copper property located in
Jujuy Province, northwestern Argentina, 6 kilometres from the Chilean border.
Exploration concessions at Loj Loj consist of a 400 hectare parcel which covers what is interpreted as a
carbonitite breccia pipe. Mineralization on the property occurs as copper carbonates and copper oxides
replacing the carbonate matrix of a clastic breccia with exotic xenoliths. An average of 42 grab samples,
taken from an area measuring 500 metres by 200 metres, assayed greater than 5% copper.
Carbonatite breccia pipes typically display a carrot-like geometry similar to kimberlites with an elliptical
surface expression and a large vertical component. Copper mineralization at Loj Loj is accompanied by
anomalous lead, zinc, cobalt, strontium, barium, arsenic and bismuth.
Management is currently developing an exploration strategy to advance this project.
On behalf of the Board of Directors,
“Gordon P. Leask”
Gordon P. Leask, P.Eng.
