JJ, you may be right about other carriers not being able to take up the capacity, that's certaintly what all the experts on CNBC have also been saying.

I have a funny feeling however, your going to see the resiliency of the the American economy in all it's glory come through and show this to be greatly exagerated. These other carriers have been chomping at the bit to get the UPS business for many years and I think you'll see them jump into action at an amazing speed. It doesn't take that much organizational skill to hire independant truckers and I think you will see a lot of that happening. Also I believe you will see these other carriers work together like they never have before, to ensure the delivery of products.

Will their be an effect? Sure, but I bet it will be much less than many people are predicting. Maybe instead of 2 day delivery we'll see 4 or 5. Businesse's will simply adjust.
