Yes, you are right. When you log on you see your old Datek account #. "Some day", when the 2 systems are merged I assume only the Ameritrade account # will show. Maybe then, they will also be able to display your true "cash available" on line. It's almost always way wrong, to the tune of 5 digits for me. The excuse is that the "Datek system couldn't handle accounts with short options positions". If you ask, it will be corrected and will stay that way for a few days, until it drifts back to the "Datek cash available".
