<<My suggestion you should publicly apologize on SI about what you said related to US armed forces>>

oh bs

Is there some judge or jury to be concerned with here? What would be the point? Will GWB be arriving to apologize for his decisions? lol

It seems quite clear that his point is if their deaths result in a quicker end to the war by motivating American public opinion pressure, then it will have been worth it when compared with the additional lives that will have been saved.

Does one have to serve in battle to understand the issues? Then few in our government is qualified either. My father spent 25 in the Navy. The man who raised me from a youth onto adulthood killed a ton of Germans and Italians in North Africa and France. He was a Brit Commando who dropped numerous times behind the lines including at Dieppe and Caan. He was captured once and eventually got nailed by a land mine in the hedgerows of France returning from his last mission and was crippled. What is the common denominator from our discussions about Bush and US policies? That it is one thing to have to fight because you are being attacked as the English were by the Germans in the Second War. It is another because your gov desires to ensure the control of another country's oil reserves. The reality is the troops are being sacrificed for no adequate reason. Protests brought our soldiers home from Vietnam. Whatever it takes to do the same is really the point of his fury. But asking for an apology to a bunch of cyber names is absurd. You actually think he has no compassion or respect for our armed forces? I think you're reading it quite incorrectly. How often have you posted to the man over the years? Geesh ...
