Fine research on JnJ, Padco. It's amazing that there are still posters who seriously dispute the existence of the Standstill Agreement - and can't understand why JnJ hasn't bought out DMX, LOL!

Oxoferin
"It's a little frustrating to see this great product shown, yet as far as I know, not widely used. Or, do you think that is changing?"
I've found references to its use in Germany for many years.
Here's one from a physician, translated by Wolf (the nickel's in the mail)...
"With a (larger), open wound local disinfectants such as Jodoform are not worthwhile and could be harmful. As a temporary tactic, Hydrogel or Alginat under a moist dressing could also suffice. I've seen an astonishing effect using OXOFERIN with a moist dressing. It's also worth considering wether a surgical skin transplant is possible. This should absolutely only be performed by an experienced specialist."

I've read that it should be used in "wet" dressings - but the information from the Pakistani site seems to say that it can be used twice a day.
This is a site originally found by alessard on SH, a few years back...they advertise Oxoferin.

I'm not sure what will be done about Oxoferin. I recall the patent was near expiration - after all, it was the lead product from Oxo Chemie, in the 80's.
Still, it seems like a product that could be successfully marketed, doesn't it? Perhaps the formulation could be "tweaked", and the patent extended. As a very safe topical, one would think that approval would come fairly easily - there's a string of papers on its use, in everything from wounds, periodontal treatment, endodontic treatment, and burns.
I think most of us would like to know what the plan is...I'm sure someone would partner Oxoferin.
