History also says no president has ever gotten re-elected with a net job loss during his term. And no Bush has ever gotten re-elected, even if he started a war during the middle of his term which sent his approvals temporarily soaring. Also, no president has won who hasn't been perceived as on th right track and leaving things better than when he started. On all of these, Bush fails miserably. He is in fact the worst president we have had in at last 30 years, though he gets high marks for strong leadership, which can be taken away by another strong leader, especially one with a Silver Star on his resume unlike Bush's AWOL military career which is a badge of shame.
