First Narrows Resources: Drilling at Chester Continues to Return Economic Grades in Hole C-03-09
08:00 EST Wednesday, November 19, 2003
Hole C-03-09 intersects 2.66% copper over 53.8 feet (16.4 meters) and secondary metals including: cobalt, silver, gold, gallium, and indium
VANCOUVER, Nov. 19 /CNW/ - First Narrows Resources Corp. (TSX-VEN: UNO and OTC US: FNRWF) ("UNO") is pleased to announce that diamond drill hole C-03- 09 intersected a strong zone of copper mineralization over 16.4 meters that assayed 2.66% copper, .071% lead, .37% zinc, 157.3 ppb gold, 14.4 grams/tonne silver (g/t), 249 g/t bismuth, 436 g/t cobalt, 34.4 g/t gallium, and 6.9 g/t indium.
The C-03-09 intercept was drilled to demonstrate continuity of the Copper Feeder Zone mineralization and host structure, and to fill in the interval of mineralization missing in hole C-03-08 where it intersected the historical decline. (See News Release dated November 3, 2003.)
Hole C-03-09 assays:

Offset 10 meters southeast from hole C-03-08, the analytical results from hole C-03-09 continue to characterize the Chester Copper Feeder Zone as a prominent zone of copper and associated metals.
Historical work on Chester indicates that the Copper Feeder Zone extends some 3000 feet (approx. 900 m) west of hole C-03-09 on what is known as the Western Deeps on the TeckCominco Option, where it remains open in all directions.
The historical results indicate that the Chester Copper Feeder Zone is continuous between UNO's current hole C-03-09 and the Western Deeps.
As drilling continues, it is becoming increasingly apparent that the potential of the Chester Copper Feeder Zone is for a large economically significant mineral deposit.
The Phase 2 drilling program on Chester will include holes in the Western Deeps on the TeckCominco Option in the vicinity of historical drill hole S- 436. Hole S-436 is significant because it is the only historical drill hole in the Chester Copper Feeder Zone assayed for anything other than copper, returning an intersection of 76 feet (approx. 23 m) averaging 1.53% copper, 0.94% zinc, and 1.55% lead.
