Well Kerry was a Vietnam combat hero and you weren't so your cutting down of our him isn't admirable or credible. Were you up there fighting, killing and getting shot? I don't thnk so. I wasn't in combat either, but at least I've been over to those countries and read the history so I understand how absurd the whole war was, carpet bombing small villages, napalming ancient forests, Americanizing the place, wastings so many billions of dollars and not being able to tell friend from foe. Talk about terrorism. Vietnam was the first Iraq and many lessons were taught there that the Bushies have forgotten. 55,000 Amerians died plus many more wounded and millions of Vietnamese. Most of those deaths served no cause at all and the blame falls on the heads of the war-makers. The peace-makers (especially those who earned the right to question the war by killing and being wounded) should be thanked, praised, lauded and admired. If not for the peace-makers, Vietnam could have lasted another 5 years and another 50,000 of our men could have died. Why? Because just like now the hard-line rightwing was making too much money and hating the boogey men too much, so they didn't want to cut their losses. You should go to Vietnam and see how absurd it all looks now. That little backward rural country being so important. It wasn't. It held very little strategic value and the French before us found out it was a snake's nest. Also the domino theory (whole justification for the war like Bush's WMD's argument) turned out to be completely false. So why were we there? You should also read the Pentagon Papers. You think Bush and Cheney lie, you should have seen them back then when they were less stealthy about it. Literally, the entire argument for war was a big lie. So why would you attack a hero who dared to stand up and try to bring it to an end? It took real courage. The wimps were the armchair generals and chickenhawks. The real men were the ones who knew from experience that the war was a deadly hoax, that it was in fact EVIL.
