They could look at it like a lawyer:
*It will cost you $N to litigate, so offer $N in a settlement.
*so for medi/wyeth: it will cost $X to recall, so give it away! :-)

Seems like for this season they'd even have trouble giving it away.

I can't remember such a disastrous product launch.
