Start with civil unions for sure but for people who value love, this will not be enough. One problem with all of this is how do you stop heteros from doing civil unions just for the perks? Or does one even bother? In that sense I would rather sanctify marriage rather than go down the other slippery slope--can anyone see the new welfare-type scamming in the civil unions?? Or is it OK? Man this is new for me so can u imagine how joe and joanne sixpack will deal with it. Mike
