But if you will recall, Saddam attempted to assassinate GWBSr. back in 1993. See the cat slips out from the bag. That was a key driver for this Iraq war!!! Besides, resolutions are passed to achieve a political end. The political ends are not spelled out specifically in resolutions. So if you are asking me to come up with a record of a resolution passed to "contain Saddam" there are no resolutions passed with that language. But politics is something you discern and you cannot approach it like you do in a court of law asking for proof etc.
