In my understanding of the budget, most of the increase is related to the war on terror, victim restitution including rebuilding NYC, Iraq war and transportation industry subsidies. Then there are all the pet liberal causes such as the Ed budget (No Child Left Behind), Aids funding, massive HHS increases and the ridiculous funding of anti-american organizations like PBS and NPR. Corporate subsidies are actually down.
