For Buschman to say the war ended in 1972 makes the thousands of deaths after that irrelevant to him. Thus he shames their heroism, their tragedies and all the people who fought hard to end that war and save lives. The right-wing is constantly trying to re-write history, as if there was no Vietnam war after it all went bad around 1970. It was a frigging disaster and the people he admires wanted to prolong it. Of course he also admires the Bush energy thieves like Enron so I guess that's just the type of person he is.
