Most GOP moderates have serious misgivings about the Bushies and disagree with his hard right policies. That goes for independents as well. They don't talk about it alot but they will be damn glad once Bush is gone, if he can be replaced by a more centrist leader, even a Democrat.

Last time I visited my parents in Houston, not a single republican at a party they threw supported Bush anymore. They were all very troubled about it and sad, but they had seen enough. They felt cheated and lied to because Bush misrepresented himself in 2000.
